How to Replace a Manual Air Relief for Triton II Sand Filter

The manual air relief valve on the Triton II Sand Filter allows users to remove air from the tank prior to the tank’s operation. When opened, the relief valve allows air to escape from the tank as it fills with pool water, preventing the tank from bursting under pressure as the pump attempts to fill the tank. If the air relief valve stops working for any reason, users should replace the device as soon as possible, as the valve is integral to the continued operation of the sand filter.
