How to Use the Purex Triton FNS Plus

The Purex Triton FNS Plus is a filtering system that removes contaminants that are as small as 5 microns from your pool, leaving it sparkling clean. Water passes through a series of diatomaceous earth (DE) coated curved grids, while impurities such as algae and dirt are filtered out. This filter is designed for easy maintenance and long-term use. Knowing how to use your Purex Triton FNS Plus filter will ensure that you get the most for your investment.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the "High Flow" manual air relief valve counterclockwise until it snaps into the "Open" position. This will release air that might have trapped inside the filter.

    • 2

Start the pool pump, then allow a steady stream of water to appear. Close the "High Flow" manual air relief valve by turning it clockwise.

    • 3

Position the Multiport Rotary Valve to the "Vacuum" or "Filter" position. Prepare the recommended amount of diatomaceous earth, based on the manufacturer's instructions. The amount of diatomaceous earth that should be used depends on the size of your pool. For example, if your pool is 24 square feet, you would use 2.4 pounds of diatomaceous earth.

    • 4

Pour the mixed diatomaceous earth into the skimmer. The mixture will automatically be drawn into the filter. Let the filter run up to 8 hours a day.
