Test the water several times per week to monitor the sanitizer levels. Follow the instructions on the test strip bottle to obtain the total bromine reading. If it's below 2.0, you need to add a dosage of bromine.
Turn on your filter. Typical bromine tablets require the addition of 17 tablets of bromine through your bromine chemical feeder, located near the skimmer, for every 10,000 gallons of water. Do this every five to seven days to maintain standard bromine levels. Adjust the formula based on your pool's water capacity. Refer to the bromine tablet instructions however because dosages can vary.
Run the filter for two hours and retest the bromine levels again using the test strips. The reading should be somewhere between 3 and 5 ppm. Adjust as necessary.
