How to Put Together Metal Frame Pools

Metal frame pool kits come with everything you need to put them together. Most are connected by horizontal beams and vertical legs that fit together with joints into a liner or the pool wall. While models vary in their specific assembly instructions, understanding how the legs and beams fit together gives you a head start toward installing your metal frame pool correctly.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay out the ground cloth and liner on the ground, if the pool contains those parts, and direct the drain valve toward the draining area.

    • 2

Insert the horizontal beams into the pockets on the liner or the pool wall. Work around the pool until all the beams are installed.

    • 3

Place a joint to the end of each beam centered in the pockets and insert a connection pin through the joint and the beam through the predrilled holes. Work around the pool until you have installed all the joints.

    • 4

Slide the vertical legs underneath the belt and insert the the top of the leg into the joint. Snap the leg into place by aligning the joint's holes with the leg's hole. Work around the pool until you have installed all the legs.

    • 5

Hold onto the top of the pool and shake it to make all the joints, legs and beams snap into place.
