How to Use a Venturi Vacuum Pool Maintenance Kit

A Venturi vacuum pool maintenance kit cleans aboveground pools and spas. Use it to clean the pool or spa as often as once a day, or as needed, depending on how often the water is used. The kit comes with a three-piece pole to which you connect a leaf skimmer or vacuum head attachment. The leaf skimmer removes leaves and other debris from the top of the water, while the vacuum cleans the bottom of the pool or spa. When used together, the attachments should keep the water relatively clean.

  Push the crimped ends of the pole pieces into the round ends. Place the hole section at one end and the end cap at the other end.

  Squeeze the white pins on the skimmer. Push it onto the open end of the pole. Move the skimmer over the top of the pool water to pick up leaves and other debris. Rinse the skimmer off when you are done.

  Push in the white spring pins. Pull the skimmer off the pole.

  Push the large end of the hose clip over the open end of the pole. Squeeze the white spring pins in on the vacuum head. Push the vacuum head onto the pole.

  Thread the water hose through the hose clip's smaller opening. Tighten the hose fitting into the adapter on the vacuum.

  Loosen the bag drawstrings. Slide the bag over the hole on the vacuum. Pull the drawstrings tight and tie them.

  Submerge the vacuum in the pool. Turn the water hose valve on.

  Push the vacuum across the pool bottom to suction dirt and other debris.

  Turn the vacuum on its side. Turn the water valve off. Lift the vacuum from the pool. Loosen the bag's drawstrings. Remove the bag. Rinse it off until it's clean.
