Remove any sticks, stones or indentations from footprints from the bottom of the pool before you install the liner. Vacuum the area thoroughly with a commercial vacuum cleaner.
Tape all of the panel joints with duct tape and secure the gaskets to the skimmer and main drain with caulking. Inspect the liner track to ensure it is free from debris such as sand or concrete.
Position the liner in the deep end of the pool so the arrows are facing the shallow end. Have one person hold each shallow end corner of the liner and pull the liner toward the shallow end of the pool.
Move to the outside of the pool and snap the liner bead into the track in each corner of the shallow end. Continue in the same fashion, snapping the bead in across the entire shallow end.
Snap the bead up into the liner track down the length of the pool, paying attention to push the bead all the way in. Avoid overstretching the liner.
Inspect the corners once the bead is installed in the track and adjust the liner as necessary for a loose and smooth fit. The liner must be able to sit against the wall in the shallow end with no space between the liner and the pool step at the bottom.
Remove the wrinkles in the liner by inserting 3 feet of vacuum hose behind the liner near the break point. Seal the opening around the hose with duct tape and turn on the vacuum.
Pull excess material on the floor of the pool toward the walls to remove the wrinkles. Turn off the vacuum and adjust the liner if you can’t get all the wrinkles out and continue until the liner is snug and free of wrinkles.
Feel around the liner to locate the holes for the main drain. Screw the face plate onto the main drain with the gasket in place, then carefully cut away the liner that’s inside the main drain frame.
Position the end of a garden hose in the hopper and start to fill the pool. Remove the vacuum hose when you have 6 inches of water in the shallow end.
