Measure the length, width and height of the pad that you intend to install beneath the Jacuzzi using a tape measure.
Mark the location for the Jacuzzi pad onto the ground using landscaping spray paint. Use the measured length and width of the pad plus 2 inches on each side to make room for the pad frame.
Remove any groundcover within the marked area with a spade, then dig a hole in the space 4 inches deep. Compress the soil at the bottom of the hole using a tamper to create a sturdy base.
Line the hole with 2-by-4-inch planks, set on their 2-inch sides so they rise to the lip of the hole. Join the planks together at the joints with a hammer and nails.
Pour a layer of sand into the hole, filling the form up to the depth level of the pad so the pad will sit on the sand while being level with the surface of the surrounding ground. Tamp the sand, then level it out using a wooden plank. Make certain the sand layer is level by dragging a carpenter’s level along the surface.
Assemble the pad by placing the sectional modules of the pad together as directed by the manufacturer’s instructions, then bolting the connectors between the module joints into place using an adjustable wrench. Move the pad to the frame area, and with the aid of a helper, lower the pad into place over the sand, making it even with the wooden frame.
