How to Use Two Filters in One Pool

In the case of pool filters, two are better than one. No matter what types of filters you’re using -- sand, cartridge or diatomaceous earth (DE), or a combination of two -- the more filtration your pool goes through, the cleaner the water will be. If you want to use a combination of filters, use the filter with the larger micron rate followed by one with the smaller micron rate. For example, use a sand filter and then a cartridge or DE filter to get the best results in your pool. If you want to use a cartridge filter, follow it up with a DE filter for better filtration.
