How to Adjust the Height of a Retractable Cover Pool

Retractable pool covers allow your pool cover to be rolled up on a stand while the pool is being used and unrolled when it is not being used to prevent debris from entering the pool. The height of the pool cover stand will depend on how long your pool is or how thick the cover is. The longer your pool the more cover you will roll on to the stand, which will require the stand to be higher to accommodate the large cover. Most pool covers operate the same way and adjust the same way.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the covers on each side of the stands to expose the bolts. Unscrew the screws on both sides of the covers with a Phillips-head screwdriver.

    • 2

Remove the mounting bolts on the side of the stand that hold the tubes in place.

    • 3

Pull the flat guard off the posts and pull the stand from the tube. Adjust the tube height by sticking the posts into the needed height position holes. Place the guard back onto the posts.

    • 4

Screw the bolts back into place and repeat the process for the other side.

    • 5

Screw the covers back on to the stands.
