Installation of a Pool Cove Pad

Locate a pool cove pad that fits the dimensions of your in-ground pools. Find a product that features a self-adhesive backing, as this is longer lasting because it attaches directly to the pool walls instead of the bottom rail.

Construct the above-ground pool according to the package directions. Slip off your shoes to prevent tracking dirt onto the liner before entering the pool.

Wipe down the bottom 4 feet of the pool’s walls with a damp rag. If there is visible dirt or stains on the walls, use a mixture of 1 tablespoon liquid dish soap and four cups warm water to clean the stains. Allow the pool walls to dry completely before installing the pool cove pads.

Remove the adhesive backing from the first pool cove pad and apply it directly to the pool wall. Adjust the pool cove pad until its straight and flush with the liner before applying pressure to set the adhesive.

Install the remaining pool cove pads in the same fashion. Allow the pads to cure for at least 24 hours before filling the pool.
