Turn off the power to the pool's electrical outlets at the household breaker box.
Remove the screw at the top of the pool light fixture enclosure with a flat head screwdriver. The fixture sits inside a light niche that is shaped like a bucket. The light niche allows several feet of wiring to be coiled up behind the light fixture so that you can pull the light out of the pool and onto the deck for repair or replacement.
Lift up the tab located on the bottom of the fixture with the screwdriver and pull the fixture out of the pool light enclosure.
Pull the light fixture out of the light niche and onto the deck.
Insert the fiber optic light into the light fixture. Line up the bottom tab on the new light fixture with the tab receiver on the pool light enclosure and secure them in place.
Thread the wires from the optic light through the hole in the back of the light fixture. Connect the wires from the fixture to the junction box where the wires from the light connect to the breaker; the junction box is located at least 18 inches above water and 3 feet back from the pool.
Push the fiber optic light fixture into the pool light fixture enclosure.
Insert the top screw into the fixture enclosure and tighten it with the screwdriver.
Turn on the power to the pool's electrical outlets at the household breaker box.
