How to Set Up a Living Accents 10 X 12 Gazebo

Living Accents gazebos, made by Sunjoy, come in many styles and are most often sold by large discount stores. The 10-by-12 gazebo has a metal frame with a center-peaked roof and mosquito curtains that can be closed to keep insects out. These temporary structures are designed to be constructed by two adults with minimal tools for assembly.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay out the parts included in the box and compare them to the included list to ensure you have them all.

    • 2

Lay out and connect the four sides of the roof in a square -- two No. 3 poles with a male connector pole between them and a corner connector on each end. The corner connector has four connection points: one angled up, one angled down and two at right angles to each other. The poles slide into the connectors that are at right angles to each other at each end.

    • 3

Connect the pieces comprising the peaked roof -- No. 5 pole with a male and plain female end and a No. 6 pole with a female end and a ladderlike segment connected to the other end. Connect the pieces so the ladderlike segments are at the top of the assembly and pointing up. The ladderlike pieces support the upper canopy of the roof.

    • 4

Attach a No. 1 pole to the bottom connector on each corner connector. The end with the slit cut in it should go at the bottom end, away from the connector. This is the first portion of each leg of the gazebo.

    • 5

Unfold and spread out the large roof canopy fabric and lay it over the peak of the roof, fitting it around the ladderlike assembly meant to support the smaller center canopy. Do not pull the canopy tight. Fit the small canopy over the four points of the small central canopy and tighten it with the attached rope.

    • 6

Pull back the pin on a base plate and fit its socket over the bottom of a No. 2 leg pole. The bottom of the pole should have three holes that allow you to adjust the height of the gazebo. Fit the pin on the base plate into one of the holes. Repeat with each of the four legs.

    • 7

Fit the male end of a No. 2 pole into the bottom end of each leg piece already attached to the gazebo. This raises the gazebo to its full height.

    • 8

Attach a plastic ring to the loop on each corner of the canopy. Cut the rope into four equal pieces with scissors. Tie one end of each rope to a ring and the other to a stake. Repeat for each corner. Pull the rope down and hammer a stake into the ground at a distance that pulls each corner down smoothly over the frame. Repeat for each corner.

Unfold the mosquito netting panels and attach them to the inner edge of the canopy with attached the hook-and-eye tape.
