Build a ramp frame of 2-by-4-inch framing lumber. Make each end as wide as the shed door. Angle the tops of side boards and any intermediate supports. Lay a 2-by-4 on the shed floor at a comfortable angle to the ground. Mark the angle with a pencil and cut all length boards to that angle with a circular saw. Fasten the ends to the sides and internal boards with 3-inch galvanized deck screws driven with a screw gun through the end bands.
Fasten a 2-by-4 ledger board across the door floor frame. Use a level to set it level about 3/4-inch below the shed floor or whatever depth will be needed for the ramp flooring, which can vary by type. Secure the ledger board to the shed floor frame with 3-inch deck screws. Drive them into floor joists if possible.
Set the ramp frame against the ledger board. Test it for level and slope and make sure the shed door or doors will close properly. Fasten the top of the ramp frame to the ledger board with 3-inch deck screws every 12 to 16 inches, depending on the width of the ramp. The top of the ramp and top of the ledger should be flush.
Cover the ramp with 3/4-inch plywood, 1-by-6-inch fence planks or other 1-inch boards, fastened with 2-inch deck screws. Let the bottom of the covering extend almost to the ground. Run the top of the ramp covering up to the edge of the shed floor, but make sure it is level with the shed floor .
