Place tiki torches around the perimeter of your hot tub to light up the area around your personal outdoor spa. Tiki torches are available in a wide variety of sizes and styles, and they use citronella fluid to burn, which is widely available. If you opt to light the area around your hot tub with tiki torches, be sure to put the flames out when you leave to prevent an accidental blaze.
Hang string lights from a ceiling, the walls or nearby plants to light up the area around your hot tub. String lights are available in many different styles, including rope lights, which feature light bulbs enclosed in plastic material, Christmas lights, which feature exposed light bulbs of various shapes, and small Japanese lanterns. Some string lights "twinkle," or turn on and off intermittently, and you can choose from a wide variety of colored light bulbs, or colored plastic in the case of rope lights, to set a certain mood.
Install outdoor wall or ceiling-mounted light fixtures to your home's outer wall or patio ceiling if your hot tub is located close to the house, garage or another structure. Use electric lighting components specifically designed for outdoor use and that can withstand getting a little wet. You may need to consult an electrician about installing electrical components in a new area of your home.
