Instructions

    • 1
Use old galvanized buckets to create an eye-catching barbecue.

Pick a location on your deck to install the barbecue. Place a large table on the selected location. Arrange five patio pavers on top of the table in a straight line. Leave a small space between each paver.

    • 2

Use buckets for the barbecue. The buckets don't have to be the same size, but they must be the same height. These will hold your fuel for barbecuing.

    • 3

Measure to find a location 2 inches from the bottom on the side of one of the buckets. Mark the location with a marker. Make marks all the way around the bucket at this height every 3 inches. Do the same on the other four buckets.

    • 4

Punch a hole in the buckets at all of the marked locations with a hammer and a large nail. These holes are for ventilation when the barbecue is in use.

    • 5

Place each of the buckets in the center of the pavers on the table. The table provides a raised cooking surface.

    • 6

Measure the width of one of the buckets and dd 2 inches. This is the width measurement. Measure the length of all of the buckets together on the table and add 2 inches. This is the length measurement.

    • 7

Cut a metal grate to fit on top of the buckets using tin snips, according to the measurements taken in Step 6. Place a small amount of charcoal in the bottom of each bucket. Put a metal grate on top of the buckets. The grate is the cooking surface for the barbecue.

    • 8

Screw three cup hooks into the side of the table. This gives you a place to hang your barbecue tools.

    • 9

Fill the buckets with charcoal and you are ready to cook.
