Timber Creek Birch Screened Arbor Set Up Instructions

The screened arbor from Timber Creek is strong enough for everyday use outside your home. Its arbor shape and large size make it a suitable choice for outdoor entertaining. The screen house is lightweight enough that you can carry it with you on every camping trip. The piece comes with instructions, but if you lose the manual, you might not remember the exact steps. Learning how to properly assemble the screen arbor lets you put the piece up and take it down whenever you need.
  1. The Right Location

    • Pick the right location for assembling your screen house. According to Timber Creek, you need a spot that is level and has a smooth surface. If you notice any rocks or sharp debris, sweep those away from the spot with a broom. Place the tent on the ground. Do not use the screen arbor on any rocky area. You risk the rocks breaking and fraying the bottom.

    Setting up the Frame

    • Locate the connecting sections and the tent poles that make up the frame. The poles are white in color and have a plastic exterior with a shock cord on the inside. Lay all of the cords out straight next to the screen house. Slide the ends of each pole into the round hub at the center of the screen arbor. Keep pushing on the poles until the ends snap into the hub. Fold the screen house over until you can see the fasteners made from nylon.

    Adjusting the Tent

    • Fold the nylon fastener over the tent pole and secure it by pulling tight. The nylon fasteners hold the tent to the frame made from the tent poles. Move your way around the screen house, firmly attaching each fastener. Grab one of the tent poles and push it into the pocket at the base of the corner. Push each tent pole through one of the corner pockets, which forces the frame together and gives the tent its shape. Find the ties located on the tent and tie those around one tent pole. Repeat this step on each corner.

    Add Extra Stability

    • Tent stakes added to the bottom keep the screen arbor securely attached to the ground and stops the tent from blowing away because of wind. Slip a tent stake through one of the loops at the base of the screen arbor. Hit the top of the stake with a rubber mallet until it sits flat on the ground. Use a tent stake in each loop to secure the screen house to the ground.
