Unpack the gazebo from its carrying case and stand it upright on its legs. The feet of the legs should be pointed downward. Do not unfold the gazebo while upside down, since flipping it over later may damage it.
Spread the gazebo out to its full extension, by pulling the frame outward with another person on the other side of the frame. Check the canvas for any rips and tears, which need to be fixed with canvas tape before erecting. Readjust the canopy so that it's straight over the frame.
Wrap the built-in Velcro straps around the metal supports of the frame to secure the edges of the canopy. This prevents excessive movement during breezes. Pull the corners of the canvas over the frame corners.
Pull the bottom section of the legs out of the upper section of the legs until they're fully extended. A person on each leg allows the gazebo to go up evenly. The legs will click in place and lock open with a button. Set the gazebo in the desired location.
Drive stakes into the holes at the bottom of the legs with a hammer. Place one stake per leg in the ground 4 feet away from each leg. Tie a guy line to each stake, and stretch the rope to the top of each leg. Tie the ropes to the corners of the frame.
