How to Program a Woods Outdoor Digital Timer

Woods outdoor digital timer is designed to turn on and off outdoor equipment such as landscape lighting, fountain pumps, holiday displays and appliances. It can also handle heavy-duty applications such as switching on electric motors up to 1 horsepower. This dual-outlet timer has a 2-foot cord with a grounded plug and a weatherproof housing to withstand exposure to the elements. It features a digital liquid crystal display and can be programmed to actuate as many as seven on/off events daily.

Instructions

      Actuate the battery if you are using the timer for the first time by pulling out on the tab sticking out of the battery compartment door.

      Verify that the LCD screen illuminates and, after three seconds, displays “12:00 AM.”

      Press the “Clock” button and hold it down. Press the “Day” button repeatedly until the correct day of the week is displayed on the LCD screen.

      Press the “Clock” button and hold it down. Press the “Hour” button repeatedly until the correct hour is displayed on the LCD screen.

      Press the “Clock” button and hold it down. Press the “Minute” button repeatedly until the correct minute is displayed on the LCD screen.

      Press the “Program” button once to bring up the screen to program Event 1.

      Press the “Day” button repeatedly to cycle through the options until the desired option appears on the screen. The options are all days of the week, individual days of the week, weekdays only and weekends only.

      Press the “Hour” button and then the “Minute” button to program the daily hour and minute you want the timer to turn on for Event 1.

      Press the “Program” button again as you prepare to set the times for when the device will be turned off.

      Press the “Day” button repeatedly to cycle through the options until the desired option appears on the screen. The options are all days of the week, individual days of the week, weekdays only and weekends only.

      Press the “Hour” and then the “Minute” buttons to program the daily time you want the timer to turn off for Event 1.

      Repeat Steps 6 through 11 to program additional timer events up to seven events per day. Press the “Clock” button to leave the programming mode when you are finished programming all events.
