Build the paver molds. When making pavers, it is important to shape them so they can butt up against each other or lock together. Use a saw to cut 2-by-4-inch lumber to the needed length for the sides of the mold. Use a drill and wood screws to secure the sides of the mold together. Make several molds, if possible, as it takes a while for cement to dry inside a mold.
Spread plastic sheeting over the floor of a garage or shed. By pouring the pavers inside, you protect them from the weather. You can pour them outside on the ground if you want, but make sure the weather report doesn't call for rain.
Position the paver molds on the plastic sheeting.
Mix cement according to the directions on the package. Add the coloring for the pavers at this time. Mix the color all the way through the cement or the pavers won't be the same color.
Pour the cement mixture into the molds until it is level with the top of the mold. Allow the cement to dry completely inside the molds.
Use a drill to remove the screws that hold the molds together, and remove the wood from the sides of the pavers.
Reassemble the molds and pour more cement into the them until enough pavers have been made to complete the project.
