Instructions on Laying Landscape Pavers in a Circle

Installing pavers does not have to follow any set pattern. The nature of pavers allows you to customize the appearance and layout to suit your needs and desires, including installing curves and circles. Special, wedge-shaped pavers make installing a circle simpler but are not a requirement. Any square or rectangular paver can create the circle design. The requirement is that the corners closest to the center touch while the corners farthest out are gapped slightly, creating the curve.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure and mark the center point of one short edge on eight pavers. Connect the center point of the short edge to the two farthest corners of the same paver with a marker. Cut the pavers into a triangle shape using a masonry wet saw. Cut one paver into a square shape where the width of the cut paver equals half the original length. Skip the square cut if the pavers being used are already square.

    • 2

Install the pavers, starting with the center square paver. Add one full paver to each edge of the square.

    • 3

Install the eight cut triangle pavers with two pavers between each full paver, with the point of the triangle pavers pointing at the center.

    • 4

Erect the next row with complete pavers making sure the corners closest to the center touch while the corners farthest out are slightly gapped. Adjust the position of the second row so that each paver is equally gapped. Continue laying out the pavers in a similar fashion, creating the overall circle design.
