Clean the concrete surface thoroughly with the pressure washer. Ensure that all cracks and crevices are cleared of debris.
Inspect any cracks and crevices and make note of their relative widths.
Mix a batch of concrete masonry mix in a plastic bucket, according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Locate all cracks, measuring 1/8-inch wide or less, and fill them with masonry mix, using the putty knife to push it down into the openings. Smooth the surface with the putty knife.
Insert a tube of the concrete-repair caulk into the caulking gun. Press the trigger while forcing the caulk into larger cracks and crevices, up to 1/2-inch wide. Smooth the repaired area with the putty knife.
Apply a strip of duct tape over every expansion joint to protect them from the resurfacing material. The joints must remain exposed to allow for expansion and contraction of the concrete.
Add water and resurfacing compound to a bucket, in the amount and manner instructed by the manufacturer.
Attach the mixing paddle to the power drill and mix the resurfacing solution to a smooth constancy. Place the paddle in a bucket of clean water, until you're ready to mix another batch.
Pour the mixture onto the prepared concrete and immediately spread it over the surface, using the steel trowel to obtain an even coating. Ensure that all crevices are filled with the mixture, by pressing firmly down as you continue to spread it along the concrete surface.
Create a slip-resistant surface to the resurfacing material, by lightly brushing the push broom across the wet concrete.
Examine the surface for bare areas and use the trowel to spread additional material over the spot. Continue to add texture to the new material, using the push broom.
Remove the duct-tape immediately after texturizing the surface and allow the concrete to dry for the recommended time in the manufacturer's instructions, before walking on the concrete.
Apply a masonry sealer to protect the concrete, after 24 hours of drying time, following the manufacturer's instructions.
