Clean the concrete surface by sweeping away any loose dirt or debris with a push broom. Remove any chipped concrete from the area with a cold chisel and hammer by placing the chisel blade along the edge of the chipped piece of concrete, then striking the head of the chisel with the hammer to break the chip off completely. Wash off any oil patches on the concrete using a degreaser and scrub brush, then rinse the concrete slab clean with a water hose. Allow the concrete to dry before resurfacing.
Mix the two parts of the Abocrete epoxy together by combining the full contents of can A with those of can B in a large bucket. Mix the epoxy for two minutes using an electric drill with a paddle bit attachment. Add twice as much masonry sand as there is epoxy to the mixed components in the bucket, and mix with the paddle as well.
Wait between five and 10 minutes as an induction period for the epoxy mix. This period provides the mixture time to begin the reaction process and prevents the epoxy from curing incompletely.
Spread the Abocrete onto the concrete slab using the flat of a trowel. Create a level layer of the resurfacing material in the thickness desired. Allow the Abocrete to dry for at least two hours before touching the surface after application.
