Wash the driveway with a stain remover and stiff scrub brush to remove debris embedded on the surface. Any stains of grime between the old concrete and the patch will weaken the bond. Hose off the solvents and wait for the surface to dry.
Stir a color hardener with quick-setting acrylic concrete until it has a thick consistency with no chunks. Match the color hardener to your existing surface to strengthen the bonding qualities.
Fill the crack with the concrete mixture with a gloved finger if the crack is narrow. Use a putty knife for a larger crack and smooth the top with a trowel or sponge.
Sprinkle release agent over the patched area so the stamp won't stick.
Hold the original patterned stamp over the patched area so it is aligned with the existing pattern. Lift the stamp straight up without dragging it.
Draw the pattern into the patched area with the end of a trowel if the patched area is not too large. Make the lines as deep as the existing pattern's.
Wait about a week for the patch to dry, and then roll concrete sealer with a rolling brush over the entire driveway to guard it against future damage.
