Measure the longest length across the paver.
Divide the length into a series of smaller, equal lengths. For example, if the paver is 13 inches long, divide the 13-inch length into 13 one-inch lengths. Between each pair of lengths will be a point. With this example, this means there are 12 points along the 13-inch length.
Measure the lengths perpendicular to the main length at each of these points. For example, suppose that these lengths are 8 inches, 8.5 inches, 7.2 inches, 7.5 inches, 7.8 inches, 8.1 inches, 8.1 inches, 7.6 inches, 7.8 inches, 7.2 inches, 8.6 inches and 9 inches.
Add these lengths together. With this example, the lengths have a sum of 94.4 inches.
Multiply this sum by the distance between the different lengths. With this example, where 1 inch separates each two lengths, multiply 94.4 by 1 to give 94.4 square inches. This is the irregular paver's area.
