Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show

• The Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show is an annual event held in the downtown Pittsburgh Convention Center for a week in early March. The show has recently featured more than 1,500 exhibits divided up into specific areas. The show has a garden pavilion with landscaped gardens and products, a construction and remodeling center with new products that show how to save money on energy bills and home interior galleries. Other sections include an art aisle, a designer showcase for luxury rooms, a kitchen and cooking collection and a children's village with activities and rides. The show also has a cafe for dining and a cocktail lounge with music. Discount tickets and various prizes are available.

Northeastern Pennsylvania Home & Garden Show

• The Northeastern Pennsylvania Home & Garden Show is an annual event held in late January in the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre. The show's special features include a free wine-tasting event, painting tips, a free-flower giveaway and antique appraisals by a professional. An art and gift area are also part of a show that has thousands of square feet of exhibits with the latest products for building materials, decks, pools, spas, kitchenware, entertainment systems, plants and overall landscaping. Free parking is available for the three-day event in which children under 16 get in free. Various seminars are also held at this popular show in the northeastern section of Pennsylvania.

Spring Eastern Pennsylvania Home Show

• An annual three-day event in February, the Spring Eastern Pennsylvania Home is held at the Allentown Fairgrounds, which is in the Lehigh Valley in the eastern part of the state. One of nine shows staged by a home and garden production company, the show features a wide variety of exhibits from homebuilders and remodelers in the Lehigh Valley area. State and national vendors also annually set up displays at a show that features arts and crafts with a local flavor as well as home decor and pet management. The show also benefits charity and offers discount tickets. Children under 12 get in free.
