Instructions

    • 1

Determine the area number for your state from the list provided in the instructions that come with the Sirius outdoor home satellite antenna--this information can also be found on the Sirius website (see Resources).

    • 2

Make a note of your area number--for example, Area 3 if you live in Florida.

    • 3

Determine the general direction that the Sirius outdoor home satellite antenna must face by matching your area number with the antenna-aiming directions provided in the Sirius instructions.

    • 4

Take the paperback-book-sized Sirius outdoor home satellite antenna into your backyard. Use your compass to determine which side of the house faces the direction of the satellite. Place the base of the antenna against the side of the house that faces the required direction so that it has a clear view of the sky. Adjust the placement of the antenna until you are satisfied with its location on the house. Place a mark through each of the two screw slots in the base with the pencil. Remove the base from the side of the house.

    • 5

Screw two screws halfway into the marks, using an electric screwdriver. Reverse the electric screwdriver to remove the screws. Place the slots on the base of the antenna against the two screw holes. Screw in the screws with the electric screwdriver to secure the base to the side of the house.

    • 6

Unlock the tripod screw at the base of the antenna. Rotate the antenna rod vertically and horizontally until it is pointing directly at the sky. Screw in the tripod screw to lock the antenna rod in position.

    • 7

Run the supplied satellite radio antenna wire from the Sirius outdoor home satellite antenna into your house. Sirius sells extension wire if one is needed. Plug the end of the antenna wire into the antenna port on the Sirius satellite receiver.

    • 8

Turn the Sirius satellite receiver on. Press the "Menu" button. Select signal strength. View the signal strength of the Sirius outdoor home satellite antenna and rotate the antenna rod as needed to maximize the signal strength.
