Measure the size of the concrete porch to figure out how much material will be needed. Each railing will be six feet in length and there will be a post between each piece. Figure in an extra piece as some may need to be cut to fit.
Bolt the first floor flange into the concrete at the bottom of the porch or the desired starting spot. Drill the two bolts that are provided into the concrete with a concrete bit through the pre-drilled holes in the floor flange. Slide the pre-drilled post into the flange and put the bolts through the holes to attach the post to the flange. Tighten the bolts with a wrench.
Move six feet up the porch and repeat the process by first installing the floor flange and then moving on to the post. Continue for the porch to be covered, making sure to install a flange and post at every corner whether it is six feet of separation or not. Go back and make sure all posts are firmly tightened and not swaying at all.
Beginning at the first post, install the railings by connecting them to the posts. Line the railing up next to the post and slide a connector under the top railing. Screw the connector piece to the post and then to the railing. Slide a connector piece in above the bottom railing and connect that to the post in the same manner with the screws provided. Attach the railing to the next post the same way.
Continue this process around the entire porch. Cut the rails with a miter saw using a carbide blade. Cuts will need to be made for the rails to properly fit around corners. For railings that are angled upward, simply apply pressure to the top of the railing and it will bend into place. Attach it with the connectors like any other piece. Make sure all pieces are properly secured once everything is completed.
