Brightest Solar Path Lights

If you have a path or a walkway that you need to illuminate, solar path lights can be a good option. They save energy, don't need to be connected to the mains and come in many attractive styles. Some path lights aren't very bright but if you need more powerful illumination you have plenty of products to choose from. Brighter lights tend to cost a little more but they can be worth it.
  1. Brinkmann Emperor Solar Flood Light

    • These matte black finished lights come as a set of four. They come with stake bases which are designed to be stuck into the ground anywhere you need extra illumination after dark. At $100 (as of 2010) they are not as cheap as some but they are brighter than many rival models.

    Gama Sonic Globe Solar Light

    • These lights have an almost science fiction feel with their glowing globe design. They each have five powerful LEDs that shine through a full 360 degrees. The Sonic Globe Solar Light comes with both flat mount and stake mount options. You can set up this light in high, medium, low or base mount configurations, allowing you to position it where it will be most effective. The manufacturer claims that it can run for up to 10 hours a night.

    Alpan Stainless Steel Solar Lights

    • Alpan's stainless steel solar lights have a bright finish and an even brighter light. Ten times brighter than conventional solar lights, these can offer very good solution to the problem of adequate solar path lighting. At around $90 for six, they are reasonably priced compared to similar products. Their stainless steel finish makes them fairly durable and they come with warm white LEDs, which can be more inviting than cooler blue-tinted LED light.

EarthTech Solar Pathway Lights 6 Pack

    • These solar pathway lights offer excellent value for money. At around $60 for six, they are some of the cheapest bright path lights you can find. Available in cool white or warm white, these super bright LED lights have a simple design that should fit in well with many different styles of garden and landscape. Their optically advanced polycarbonate lenses make the most of their power and they can keep going for up to 12 hours.

    Solar Deck/Path Light

    • Also by EarthTech, these spotlights boast 12 high intensity LEDs. With light projection up to fifty feet they are a serious contender in the brilliance stakes, although their $159 price tag makes them one of the more expensive products. The photovoltaic panel that powers the light is removable, so if you need to place the light in a shady area you can still install the panel somewhere with more available sunlight. The panel can be installed up to 20 feet away from the light fixture, offering considerable flexibility. The light stands 2 feet tall and offers high and low settings. On the higher setting this product is advertised as supplying eight hours of continuous light.
