How to Make Circular Steps Out of Brick

At-home building projects can spruce up your house and, when you do it yourself, can be budget-friendly ways to give an area an instant facelift. If you're working on a porch or deck project and need to create a step area, using bricks as a foundation is an inexpensive solution. And by placing the bricks in circular shapes and securing them together with grout, you can create an attractive and modern look with minimal effort.

Choose the area where you want to lay the steps. The steps should be flush against the surface you want to be able to climb up onto. If there is any debris like leaves or dust on the area where the steps will go, make sure to sweep it away.

Lay your first circular step using 16 of the bricks. Lay four bricks end to end in a line down the center of where the steps will go. Lay three bricks to the left and the right of this four-brick line. Lay two bricks beside each of the three-brick lines. Finish by laying one brick next to each two-brick line. You should now have a circular foundation to work with.
