Paint the yard pavers an accent color that goes with the color scheme of the house and the yard. Use an exterior-grade paint formulated for walkways that can take a beating from the weather without fading or chipping.
Lay the dry painted yard pavers in a path through your yard. Evenly space the pavers as you form a straight or curved path with them.
Remove each paver one at a time, and dig into the surface dirt just to the outline of the paver. Place the yard paver in the recessed area to make its top surface lay flush with the surface of the ground.
Apply stain to the yard pavers to tint them with a hint of transitioning color. Clean the surfaces of the yard pavers with soap and water and allow them to air dry.
Pour the stain into a spray applicator.
Spray the stain onto the stone, brick or concrete yard paver. Apply more than one coat until the desired look is achieved. Repeat the process that yielded the correct color with the other yard pavers.
Place the stained pavers in the yard to mark a path once they are dry.
Set each paver in its permanent position by digging out the dirt beneath it and recessing it into the ground.
Mix concrete with water according to the package instructions to make your own custom pavers.
Add concrete tint to the mix prior to adding water if you want your yard pavers to have a specific color.
Pour the concrete mix into paver molds and allow them time to set and dry.
Insert pebbles, shells, glass tiles and other durable findings into the concrete before it completely sets. Push them deep enough so they are flush with the surface of the pavers.
