Instructions

    • 1

Design the path by spraying marking chalk to outline the edge of the path.

    • 2

Remove the grass along your path with a power sod cutter.

    • 3

Dump your sand into the path, and spread it over the path in a 3-inch layer, using your shovel to fill in and a metal rake to level.

    • 4

Put on your gloves and lay out your rocks, playing around with the placement, until the desired design is achieved. It is alright to leave some spaces between rocks since the gravel will fill this area in. Add or remove sand from beneath the rocks to level them.

    • 5

Fill in the spaces between the rocks with gravel, spreading and leveling the gravel with the metal rake.

    • 6

Sweep the excess sand and dirt from the rocks with a heavy-duty broom.
