Soak a cotton ball in witch hazel, which has astringent properties that break down oils and adhesives like alcohol. You can find witch hazel at most grocery and department stores.
Apply the soaked cotton ball to the surface of the sticker stuck to the fridge. Hold it firmly in place for two minutes, scrubbing it in circular motions from time to time. This gives the witch hazel time to seep into the sticker and break apart the adhesive and paper.
Scrape softly at the weakened sticker with a cookie spatula or another flat kitchen tool. Do not scratch or scrub at the sticker with the spatula, as the sticker should slide right off.
Apply another soaked cotton ball of witch hazel to the remnants of the sticker on the fridge. Hold it there for a minute, as you scrub firmly. This should remove any residue from the sticker.
