# How to Lift the Seat on a S160 Bobcat
The Bobcat S160 skid-steer loader is an excavator ideal for loading and grading in landscaping and other construction projects. The small size and mobility of the Bobcat S160 allows it to work in smaller confines than a backhoe or larger tractor. The Bobcat S160 has optional comfort features not found in other Bobcat models, such as heating/air conditioning, radio capability and an adjustable seat. You can lift the seat on a S160 Bobcat to adjust to your weight and comfort when driving the Bobcat.

Open the entry door, and climb into the cabin of the Bobcat S160. Turn around, face the front and sit down in the seat.

Lower the safety arm from above until it is in the lower, locked position.

Grasp the seat adjustment handle on the right side of the seat. This handle will be located about ten inches behind the throttle control, which is mounted on the right side of the cabin.

Pull upward on the seat adjustment handle to raise the seat or push downward on the lever to lower the seat until the seat is in the most comfortable position.

Adjust and buckle the seat belt around your waist.
