Instructions

    • 1

Spray paint the outside edges of the pathway you would like to create, using landscaping spray paint. You can create a uniform path or a meandering path that imitates a natural footpath.

    • 2

Shovel out the pathway between the painted lines to a depth of 4 inches. This will create a foundation for the paver rocks.

    • 3

Fill the dug out pathway foundation with pea stone. Smooth out the surface of the pea stone with a bow rake.

    • 4

Lay out the paver rocks onto the pea stone. Press them into the pea stone once you have the desired layout along the pathway.

    • 5

Set a level across each rock and tap it with a mallet until the rock is seated into the gravel and is level. Continue with this process until each paver rock is level along the pathway.
