The Husqvarna 345 is a chainsaw that is suitable for felling trees, cutting firewood or clearing brush. To avoid minor performance problems with the chainsaw that may affect your work, use some basic troubleshooting tactics.

      Wear goggles and hearing protection while you operate the chainsaw to protect your eyes from flying wood chips and your ears from the noise.

      Engage the chain brake prior to using the saw so it snaps into place when the saw kicks back.

      Press the throttle down completely when using the chainsaw to ensure clean cuts and to reduce the potential for injury.

      Add new fuel and oil if the chainsaw stalls when running or if it won't start.

      Slide the choke into the "Choke" position if the saw won't start but does have fuel and oil.

      Remove the cover over the air filter and then shake the filter out to remove dirt if the saw starts slowly or loses power during use. Clean the filter with soapy water if shaking it won't remove all the dirt.

      Replace the spark plug if the saw lacks power. Replace the plug once per month if you use the saw regularly.
