Native Shrubs of Louisiana

Louisiana native shrubs are abundant and tend to bear colorful flowers with almost a tropical flair. Native plants should always be considered in your landscaping needs simply because the plants are already acclimated to the climate. The native plants in your garden will provide food and habitat for native wildlife. Another advantage is that native plants do not require any commercial fertilizer or pesticides. In the end, planting natives in your garden helps the environment.
