Boobialla Pink

• Boobialla pink, or broad pink, is a native Australian ground cover. It grows six to 12 inches high and should be spaced four to six feet apart when planting. The leaves are a slim oval shape and dark evergreen in color. The ground cover blooms from late spring into mid-summer with small pink flowers. In order to thrive, boobialla pink should be planted in an area that receives full sun. Boobialla pink should be watered on a once a week basis, however the ground cover is drought resistance.

Hardenbergia Meema

• Hardenbergia meema is a native Australian ground cover. It is a bushy looking ground cover that grows 12 to 18 inches high and should be planted about six feet apart. Hardenbergia meema has thin oval dark green leaves that measure three inches long. The ground cover blooms in the spring to early summer with many small, fragrant purple flowers. If given the opportunity to do so, hardenbergia meema will climb and grow over things, such as rocks, fences and trellises. This ground cover grows best in full sun to partially shaded conditions and sandy to heavy clay soils.

Myoporum Yareena

• Myoporum yareena is a native Australian ground cover. It is a plant-like ground cover with long grassy green oval leaves that have small bumps evenly positioned along the edges. The ground cover blooms in mid spring into late summer with white flowers. The flowers are white with five petals and a yellow tinted center. Myoporum yareena grows to be about five inches tall and should be planted three to four feet apart. Myoporum yareena should be planted in sunny to partially shaded areas and grown in sandy to heavy clay soils.

Westringia Mundi

• Westringia mundi is a native Australian ground cover. Westringia mundi is a plant like ground cover that grows to be about 15 inches tall. The ground cover has many small green oval leaves that grow on several branch like stems, stemming from the center of the ground cover. Westringia mundi bloom in late spring to late summer and have white flowers that are about three inches big. This is the perfect ground cover for those who want a no-maintenance ground cover. The ground cover does not need to be pruned, and requires very little water. It grows well in sandy to well drained clay soils and is best grown in full to partial sun.
