How to Adjust a Lawn Bubbler

Lawn bubblers provide deep watering in small areas, such as flowerbeds with shrubs and trees. The water flows heavily from the head in a circular pattern up to a radius of about 5 feet. Water efficiency is greater with a bubbler than other types of irrigation heads because the concentrated water flows near to the ground, and is less susceptible to wind and evaporation. Lawn bubblers are very easy to adjust to achieve an even coverage of irrigation areas.

Instructions

    • 1

Put on rubber or rain boots to keep your feet dry.

    • 2

Turn on the irrigation system or the garden hose to your lawn bubbler. Examine the distance that the water is flowing from the bubbler head.

    • 3

Insert a flat-head screwdriver into a bubbler with a slot on top or grasp the top of one without a slot.

    • 4

Turn the screwdriver or the head counterclockwise to increase the spray distance around the bubbler. The head will stop turning at the maximum irrigation distance.

    • 5

Turn the head or screwdriver clockwise to decrease the spray distance from the bubbler head. The spray head stops turning when the bubbler turns clockwise to the “Off” position.
