Tropical Patio Plants

Tropical patio plants lend beauty to entryways and patios that may otherwise be bare. The plants perform well in cement, ceramic, clay and plastic pots as long as the pots are large enough to accommodate top-heavy plants. The soil in container-grown plants tends to dry out quickly when the sun beats down on the planters. Light-colored planters will deflect the sun's rays so the soil remains moist for longer periods.
