How to Edge With Lodgestone

Lodgestone edgers are small blocks used to landscape around small trees and to create small decorative walls. They are ideal for home landscaping projects because of their size and ease of use. The edgers interlock to form a stacked border around flower beds, trees, shrubs and any other area where you need a division in the landscape. You can create a wall up to 24 inches high with lodgestone edgers. They measure 3-by-8-by-5 1/4-inches.

Instructions

    • 1

Spray the outline of the area where you plan to install the edging using landscaping spray paint.

    • 2

Dig a 1- to 1-1/2-inch deep trench on the inside of the painted lines with a shovel. This will leave at least 1 inch of the base edging exposed above the ground.

    • 3

Place the edgers along the trench end to end. Rest a level on each edger. Adjust each edger by tapping it with a rubber mallet.

    • 4

Stack additional layers on top of the base layer until you reach the desired height for the edging. Be sure to stagger the joints so that the edging locks in place.
