How to Fill Mole Holes

Moles are notorious for damaging your otherwise perfect lawn. Using their large forepaws to dig beneath your garden, it will come to the surface from time to time, leaving behind molehills. These are unsightly and can cause a proud garden owner much distress. Fortunately, getting rid of molehills is not a difficult task.

Things You'll Need

  • Shovel
  • Sod roller
  • Grass seed
  • Watering can

Instructions

      Use a shovel to tip the mound of soil back into the hole.

      Fill your lawn roller with water or sand to use as a weight.

      Roll the sod roller over the molehills in order to flatten them.

    • 4

      Spread grass seed over the patch of soil and water the area. In a few weeks, the grass will have grown and covered any evidence of a mole hill.
