Visit your local city hall and search for your property records. Property records contain specific information about the amount of land you own. Most land records include maps that will help you determine property boundaries.
Locate your property boundaries. Property boundaries are identified by markers. For example, there is usually a marker to identify where a street begins and ends. These markers are usually stone blocks with a rod protruding up from them.
Take a piece of string and run it across the ground from marker to marker. You may have to move and shift the string in order to navigate obstacles so that the string stays straight.
Using a tape measure, divide the straight piece of string into 10 equal parts. The divides in the line mark where the property lines fall.
