How to Use Nelson 50230 Sprinklers

Nelson irrigation corporation's head office is in Walla Walla, Washington. It makes watering products for commercial and residential applications. The Nelson 50230 sprinkler is a square pattern whirling sprinkler. It covers an area 35 by 35 feet and is movable to various locations around your lawn. A square pattern sprinkler is ideal because most lawns are designed as squares. A regular round sprinkler would apply no water to the corners of the lawn without being moved.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure your lawn with a tape and break it down into sections that are 35 by 35 feet. Place a marking flag in the center of each section.

    • 2

Connect the hose into the outlet in the side of the Nelson 50230 sprinkler by twisting the yellow screw connection counter-clockwise.

    • 3

Place the sprinkler in the location of one of the flags. Open the faucet for the hose to the fully open position. Start the stop watch's timer.

    • 4

Turn off the faucet for the hose when the time reaches 15 minutes. This is the typical watering span for a section of lawn. You may increase or decrease the watering time depending on your local climate and grass type.

    • 5

Move the hose and sprinkler to another marking flag on your lawn. Open the faucet and begin the stop watch again. Repeat this process until each section of the lawn receives equal water.
