How to Make Concrete Containers Look Aged

Aged concrete containers, using a faux method like moss, are part of eye-catching landscapes. Concrete containers also retain moisture, which will help your potted flowers grow. Although moss needs water to thrive, it also provides moisture for the plants inside the container. Therefore, an aged concrete container can be useful if you sometimes forget to water your flowers.

    • 2

Place the bucket in a sunny area for three days to ferment.

    • 3

Use a paintbrush to apply a generous coat of the mixture to the outside of your concrete container.

    • 4

Wrap the container with plastic wrap.

    • 5

Place the plastic wrapped container in a partially sunny area for about two weeks until the moss spores begin to grow.

Water the moss regularly. This can be accomplished by either spraying the moss with a water hose or by planting flowers in the container.
