Mark the fence line by spray-painting the ground. Avoid any immovable objects such as trees or large rocks.
Drive wooden stakes into the ground to mark the location of the fence posts. The length of space between the fence posts is the length of the fence panels.
Dig holes for the posts with a post hole digger. The holes should be 10 inches wide and deep enough to accommodate at least one-third of the post's height plus 6 inches for a gravel base.
Pour 6 inches of gravel into each post hole and tamp it down.
Mix a batch of concrete, following the instructions on the packaging.
Pour concrete into the first post hole until it's about halfway full. Place the first post into the hole and tap it down until it is against the gravel base. Finish filling the hole with concrete, then check the post for plumb (vertically straight) and level (horizontally straight). Set the other corner and end posts using the same method, and allow the concrete to set for the time specified on the packaging.
Tie a string between the posts to use as a guide when setting the line posts.
Install the line posts between the corner and end posts, using the same method. Position the posts so that one edge lines up perfectly with the string.
Attach brackets for the panels to the fence posts. This can vary by manufacturer, so read the instructions for the fence you purchased.
Slide the fence panels into the brackets and screw them into place.
Attach the post caps to the posts with vinyl adhesive.
Install the hardware for the gate and install the gate, again following the manufacturer's instructions.
