Measure the distance where you want the lattice wall.
Dig holes at the end points where you want the wall. Make the holes about 1 foot wide. Tyhe depth of the hole depends on the height of the wall. Posts need to be placed in the ground about one-third the length of the post. If you want a wall 6 feet tall, then you need posts that are 9 feet long. The hole also needs an extra 6 inches of depth for drainage gravel. In the case of a 9 foot post, the hole needs to be 3 feet 6 inches deep. Use a post hole digger to make the holes.
Fill the holes with 6 inches of gravel and tamp the gravel down.
Set the posts in the holes. Wedge pieces of scrap wood on all four sides of each post to keep them upright. Use a level to ensure that they are perpendicular to the ground.
Mix cement in a bucket according to the package directions.
Pour the cement in the holes and let it dry for a day.
Lay the lattice down and measure the distance to match the distance between the posts. Mark the lattice and cut it with a power saw.
Drill pilot holes into the ends of the lattice on the sides that will connect to posts.
Hold the lattice to the posts and drill in one 2-inch screw to one of the top corners.
Use a level to adjust the lattice to the proper position, then drill a screw into the other top corner on the opposite post.
Add additional screws at each point of the lattice that meets the posts.
