How To Fasten Welded Wire Fence Sections

When working on a fence project, it is common to come to the end of a roll of welded wire before you reach the next post. This inconvenience can be remedied by splicing the two sections together with aluminum sleeves. The procedure can be accomplished effectively and efficiently using a few simple steps.

Instructions

  Trim any projecting wires from each edge of fence using the wire cutters.

  Align the two fences so that they are matched evenly, with both the top and bottom being flush.
- 3
  Slide an aluminum crimp onto each external wire on both fence sections, starting at the top, and crimp it using the crimping tool.
- 4
  Repeat the procedure, putting one crimp in every section for the entire width of the sections in order to attach them together.
