How to Attach a Picture to a Brick Exterior

Brick exteriors add sophisticated appeal to a building. When you have a covered brick patio or screened-in porch, attaching a picture to the brick siding can add a touch of decorative elegance to the space. In order to hang the picture, you'll need a few basic tools. The process is not that different from hanging a picture on a standard wall.

Instructions

    • 1

Select a picture hook that's capable of holding the weight of your specific piece of art. Picture hooks generally come in sizes that support 10 to 100 lbs.

    • 2

Drill a hole into the brick that's large enough to accommodate the picture hook. Fill the hole with epoxy. Stick the picture hook into the epoxy-filled hole immediately.

    • 3

Allow the epoxy time to dry overnight. The epoxy bonds to the brick and holds the picture hook solidly in place. Slip the framed picture into place over the picture hook.
