Measure out the desired height and length for each lattice panel. Use your fence posts as a guide. For example, if your posts are six feet apart, then each panel will need to be trimmed to a a length of 6 feet. Lattice panels are typically sold in panels that are 3 to 4 feet high. If your fence will be taller, such as six feet, you will need to trim down another panel to place on top of the first.
Cut the lattice work to fit with a circular saw. Lay the lattice down, and if it is more than 3 feet long, have someone else stand at the end and help you feed it through the saw. Use a new blade to avoid ripping the plastic. Trim the panels to the desired size.
Assemble the lattice on the fence line. Line up the first panel between the fence posts. Use a cordless screwdriver to attach a screw every six inches until you reach the bottom of the panel. If stacking the lattice, attach the top piece once the bottom is secure.
Trim your 2-by-4s to fit between the fence posts. These will be used to finish off the top and bottom of the lattice work and hide the cut edges. You do not absolutely need a bottom piece, but the fence will look more polished if you do. Run the 2-by-4s through the circular saw to trim them to fit.
Attach the 2-by-4s to the fence posts with a cordless screwdriver or drill. Run screws through the wood into the fence post. Check to make sure the fit is secure. Attach the top and bottom of the lattice to the 2-by-4s with additional screws. Use one screw for every six inches until you reach the post.
