Wrap the end of 13.5 gauge PVC-coated steel wire around the top of the first fence post. Wrap the end of the wire around itself a couple of times to secure the wire. Use a pair of pliers to secure the twist. Stretch the wire to the top of the next post and wrap around the post. Run the wire along the top of the fence until you reach the last fence post.
Twist the wire around itself, and trim the excess wire with wire cutters.
Unroll the fencing on the ground outside the fence line. Place a couple of cement blocks on the free end of the fencing to prevent it from rolling back up. Once the fencing is unrolled, remove the blocks and hold the end of the fencing up to the beginning fence post.
Tie the fencing to the top of the post, 12 inches from the end of the roll, using a length of galvanized wire. Arrange the fence so 6 inches of the bottom bends outward along the ground. This will prevent animals from crawling under the fence.
Tie five to seven pieces of wire along the post attaching the fencing to the post at even intervals.
Pull the fence tight between posts, and tie it to the top wire in two places between the posts. Tie the fencing to the posts with the galvanized wire. Continue securing the fencing to the posts all around the fence line.
